HOEG & NILSSON Unveil Highly Anticipated EP: "The Long Way Home".
HOEG & NILSSON, the dynamic musical duo renowned for their soul-stirring compositions, are back with a captivating new EP titled "The Long Way Home". Set for release on 26 April 2024, this EP promises to enthrall listeners with its poignant melodies and thought-provoking lyrics.
Life, death, love, loss, or just one of those rare moments when everything is perfect and relaxed. No subject and no crazy turn on the Road of Life is off-limits for the Danish duo. Even though each of the five songs on the new EP deals with heavy subjects, the melodies are still sweet, and the production is both tight and light as air.
The idea for the opening track "The Long Way Home" came about when the duo's singer, Henning Hoeg, wanted to call and meet up with an old friend. The old friend had recently passed away, and the catchy but deeply felt song emerged. "You forget. But things will eventually return to a new normal," says Henning Hoeg.
"There's Always a Road" is yet another song about finding your way home.
"She Just Misses You" is about the kind of love that even death cannot stop.
"Always Be True to Yourself" is an upbeat song about how we should all join hearts and hands across the unnecessary divides of race, gender, sexual preference, and religion. We are all part of the same circle of love, the same human race.
And finally, "I'll See You There" deals with the worldwide epidemic of estrangement between parents and their grown children.
