Mississippi
Release: March 25th, 2022
There are few things like the open country road, the car windows rolled down, the heat of the sun on the shoulder and the stereo at full blast. The trip to the south is just around the corner.
And with their new single 'Mississippi', HOEG & NILSSON give their bid for the perfect soundtrack for a dream trip in the car.
For some it's' Sweet Home Alabama ', for some it's Kris Kristofferson 'Convoy' and others may prefer Willie Nelson´s 'On The Road Again '. The trick is, that the music makes the wheels roll easier, the long trip to the destination seems shorter, and finally there must be plenty of sing-along quality. And in that context, 'Mississippi' is perfect for the purpose.
The groove is contagious as the sum of the wheels on the hot asphalt. The mood and harmonies bring to mind The Eagles and Jackson Browne. And most importantly, the chorus is not to get out of your head:
'They say it's okay, they say it's alright, Going through Mississippi tonight, Away from the rain, away from the snow, fulfilling a promise I made long ago.'
'Believe me. The song has been tested. And it works,' says the singer Henning Høeg, who lives in the USA on a daily basis and therefore knows the long journeys on the endless American Highways, all the way down to the South.
'Mississippi is a metaphor for the summer-hot journey. And the song emits the positive vibrations we all need right now, 'says Robert Nilsson.
Jump in shorts, sandals, and the worn-out T-shirt, roll down the windows, set the GPS to 'Into the blue' and get ready to be blown away by HOEG & NILSSON's new hit single, 'Mississippi'.
'Mississippi' is available on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube and all other major music platforms.
