Finish What You Started

’This is how it feels, when the Devil’s on your trail’.
Her udveksler hun linjerne med duoens sanger Henning Høeg.
Henning bor i Rochester, Michigan.
Christine Corless bor i Nashville, Tennessee. Hun har udgivet to soloalbum.

'This is how it feels, when the Devil's on your trail'.
The new single 'Finish What You Started', from the Danish duo HOEG & NILSSON, starts with a polyphonic bang. And in the three minutes and 41 seconds that follow, we get lots of drama, high energy and loads of the usual sing-along quality.
The music is catchy and swinging country rock, somewhere between John Mellencamp, Lou Reed and the Eagles, and the lyrics are filled with the kind of drama that also characterizes classic action films from Hitchcock to Scorsese.
And just like in the world of movies, where Sharon Stone's feminine mystique plays up against Robert De Niro's fascinating mix of male hero and villain, HOEG & NILSSON have included a whole new shot of feminine energy on their new song.
Thus, the American singer Christine Corless has made her way past the studio.
On 'Finish What You Started' she exchanges lines with the duo's singer Henning Hoeg. And accompanied by Robert Nilsson's musical array of well-placed string instruments, the singing duo takes the chorus to new heights.
'The lyric is composed of snapshots, which together should make the classic action movie play before the listener's inner eyes,' says Henning Hoeg, who, once again, was inspired by Robert Nilsson's elaborate instrumental track.
Henning lives in Rochester, Michigan. Robert lives in downtown Elsinore, Denmark. And on both sides of the Atlantic, the music is constantly playing in HOEG & NILSSON's heads.
'I always think in musical notes, harmonies and grooves. And one day the idea for 'Finish What You Started' was just there,' says Robert Nilsson, who loves both the spontaneity and the smallest musical details. A combination that makes HOEG & NILSSON completely unique.
Christine Corless lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She has released two solo albums. And is today one of the music city's most frequently used session singers.
